Amazing Amman!

Amman is the one of the most relaxed cities in the Middle east that I have visited. This time, I just wondered around the city centre and visited the places I enjoyed the most.

Most people come here to visit other sites, such as Petra, the Dead Sea, and many other attractions. Amman, the capital of Jordan, is a modern city with numerous ancient ruins. Atop Jabal al-Qala’a Hill, the historic Citadel includes the pillars of the Roman Temple of Hercules and the 8th-century Umayyad Palace complex, known for its grand dome. Built into a different downtown hillside, the Roman Theatre is a 6,000-capacity, 2nd-century stone amphitheatre offering occasional events.

I have written other blogs about this city before, and, if you have time, check them out. There are many more pictures there for you to see:

This time, I concentrated my visit on some highlights I most enjoyed from previous visits. The city is getting ready for Christmas. The city’s population is very mixed with Muslims, Christians, and other religions. It’s one of the places where Christianity started.

Most tourist sites in the centre are within walking distance. Otherwise, you might need to get a taxi – just make sure you agree how much you want to pay before getting in. If you travel to the Middle East the beautiful country of Jordan is a must!
