Côte d’Azur

The beautiful city of Nice is on the French Riviera. It has an incredible sea front, and is very glamourous. It is an all year round destination. In winter, the light will be limpid, and the weather maybe warm enough to eat lunch outdoors.

The Promenade des Anglais is adorable, you could spend an entire trip just wandering along here. The bright blue water is what gave the Cote d’Azur its name. But you’ll also need to see Nice old town

The old town has a buzzing vibe. It’s an eclectic maze of shops and restaurants, pastries seen through windows and cheese shops, while boutiques stock unique fashions, accessories, and gifts. The architecture is amazing: everything is so well looked after. I was impressed.

Place Massena is beautiful. Once the favourite choice for the rich and noble in Nice. It still keeps its glamour and assumptions from the past. It is full of arched buildings, checkered sidewalks, playful fountains, and ornate statues full of beauty and style.

If you want to soak up the French Riviera vibes, then Nice is a place to visit. Walk all along the 4 km sweep of the Baie des Anges, along the Promenade des Anglais with its dedicated lane for cyclists and skaters; if you fancy joining them, you can rent skates, scooters and bikes while you’re there.
