Miami Beach Vibes

Miami is a coastal metropolis and the seat of Miami-Dade County in South Florida. With a population of 442,241 as of the 2020 census, it is the second-most populous city in the state of Florida after Jacksonville. It is also the core of the much larger Miami metropolitan area, which has a population of 6.138 million, making it the third-largest metro in the Southeast and ninth-largest in the United States.

Miami is a major centre and leader in finance, commerce, culture, arts, and international trade. It has the third largest skyline in the U.S. with over 300 high-rises, 58 of which exceed 491 ft (150 m). It is also one of the richest cities in the world in terms of purchasing power.

But Miami is not only about business and money. It is also a city of beauty, creativity, and diversity. Miami has some of the best beaches in the country, with white sand and teal waters that attract millions of visitors every year. It also has a vibrant arts scene, with world-class museums, galleries, and festivals that showcase local and international talent. Miami’s multicultural population reflects its history as a gateway to Latin America and the Caribbean, and its cuisine, music, and nightlife are influenced by a variety of cultures and traditions.

Some of the must-see attractions in Miami include:

• The Art Deco District: This historic district in South Beach has the world’s largest collection of art deco buildings, dating from the 1920s to the 1940s. The colourful and whimsical architecture features tropical motifs, nautical elements, and pastel shades that create a cinematic backdrop for strolling shopping, and dining.

• The Vizcaya Museum and Gardens: This lavish estate was built in 1916 by industrialist James Deering as his winter home. It features a Renaissance-style villa filled with European art and antiques, surrounded by 10 acres of formal gardens and fountains that overlook Biscayne Bay. I didn’t manage to visit this museum, it was closed when I was there, unfortunately.

Miami is a city that offers something for everyone, whether you are looking for sun and sand, culture and art, or nature and adventure. It is a city that will surprise you with its charm, energy, and diversity. It is a city that you will fall in love with. Looking forward to going back and exploring more of this amazing city.
