The Tate Modern Gallery is one of my favourite in London. The Tate is an institution that houses the United Kingdom’s national collection of British art, and international modern and contemporary art.
I went to the Tate to see the Picasso exhibition. This is the first ever solo Pablo Picasso exhibition at Tate Modern. Bringing us face-to-face with more than 100 paintings, sculptures and drawings, mixed with family photographs and rare glimpses into his personal life.
On the way to the exhibition I had time to contemplate the great views of the River Thames.
This extraordinary exhibition shows Picasso’s work from his ‘year of miracles’, 1932. It goes through, month-by-month, all of his prolific creation. He was a creative force-of-nature!
I was surprised to see how much he created in such a short time. This exhibition reveals the man and the artist in his full complexity and richness. You will see him as never before.
Picasso was an amazing artist. One the most influential artists of the 20th century, he is known for co-founding the Cubist movement, and the invention of constructed sculpture,
Pablo Picasso was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, stage designer, poet and playwright who spent most of his adult life in France.
I was delighted to have the chance to see this amazing exhibition. I only showed a glimpse of what you can experience here. If you are in London don’t miss out on this opportunity: it is a must-see event.
It was certainly a wonderful experience to see that exhibition.😊

I love Picasso, too. Many years ago I went to an exhibit of his ceramics, at the University of Toronto. He has such a unique and distinct style. Wonderful that you got to see it.

I too love the Tate Modern. The building itself seems to enhance the artwork there as well. The light and the space are perfect. Another thought-provoking and evocative article from your good self.
