The Warming Orange Glow!

The stunning Bavarian capital of Munich is situated in southern Germany. The city has numerous museums, and centuries old buildings.  The city is known for its annual Oktoberfest celebration and its beer halls, including the famed Hofbräuhaus, founded in 1589.

In the old town, central Marienplatz contains landmarks such as the Neo-Gothic Neues Rathaus (town hall), with a popular glockenspiel show that chimes and reenacts stories from the 16th century.

I was in Munich for a short period of time, and had the pleasure to see some of the old buildings. The evening time certainly makes the city magical, and it shines.

Munich is definitely a must see in anybody’s bucket list. The architecture is incredible. It has royal castles, and you could discover the darker side to Munich’s 20th-century history. Learn of the birth and development of the Nazi party with a tour of the most significant sites, and much more.

It was a shame I couldn’t stay longer here and explore more. I’m due to go back and explore more of this magnificent city – so keep checking in for more pictures and information in the future!
