Wild and Alive!

The Bird Park is a popular tourist attraction in Malaysia, receiving an annual average of 200,000 visitors. It is located adjacent to the Lake Gardens. The Bird Park houses more than 3000 birds representing more than 200 species in an enclosed aviary. 90% are local birds and 10% were imported from overseas.

Kuala Lumpur Bird park is also well known as “World’s Largest Free-flight Walk-in Aviary”, offering 20.9 acres of verdant valley terrain to be explored.

The park is really big. You can get really close to the birds. All the birds are flying freely and joyfully in this romantic and beautifully landscaped aviary. The park is covered by an enormous net. One of KL Bird Park’s most extraordinary feature is that in Zones 1, 2 and 3, the birds are let free in the aviary which closely resembles their natural habitat. With this free-flight concept, birds are able to breed naturally in this unique environment.

There a lot of different activities you can do in the park, such as the bird school, education station, the peacock gift shop, the Hanabi cafe. It’s a very interesting experience.

To finish our visit we had a very special and cheeky group joining us at the park. Lovely!
