Free Time in Freetown

Freetown is the capital of Sierra Leone, situated in West Africa. This name was given to the city when the British helped four hundred freed slaves from the United States, Nova Scotia, and Great Britain return to Sierra Leone to settle in what they called the ‘Province of Freedom’.

In Freetown, you can see the sea from almost any point in the city and you are never far away from the beach!

The sunset here is incredible. I came here to watch the sunset from the Mahara Beach Hotel.

  1. Hi there, Traveler. My name is Rob. You’ve been following my blog for a few weeks now, and you liked “An Episode,” which I wrote only hours ago. You must have a very curious mind, which is good. I don’t want to glamorize schizophrenia, but to educate about it. Psychosis is a waking dream – or nightmare. It isn’t fun. If there were gene therapy for the disease, then maybe there would be hope. Until then, only alcohol helps me. I know I might be doomed to a premature death. Oh, well… Hey Ultimate, where did you go to school? You seem very educated. I graduated from the U. of Oregon in 1994. I loved learning. If I could have, I would’ve stayed in school forever. Anyway, I’m glad that you’re enjoying life and aren’t a stoic. I’m an epicure all the way. Feel free to range through my whole blog and like what you like. I’ve never been a racist, so you won’t find anything bad like that in my writing. Some of my best followers are African. That makes me feel good. It’s good to be trusted. Meanwhile, I try to manage my psychosis. OK, ciao for now. Your Rob

    1. Hi Rob,
Thanks for your message. I like reading your blog. We all have issues, and trying to manage them it’s a good start. I went to school in Brazil, and did some studies in the Uk. Looking forward to you updates!

  2. There must be something rather interesting about my life, and how I can articulate it with my talent for words. I am like a person with autism who can reach out to people. How often does that happen? I believe I am doing my duty as a reporter on my delusions. I am trying to help other mentally ill people by being open. I know I am not the only one who suffers. There may be many more who are worse off than me. You know, orders from headquarters just don’t work when it comes to my drinking habit. I will probably drink myself to death. If I stay sober, then I have delusions that last a couple of days. It’s a catch-22. Yeah, it is rather funny, and I have to laugh at myself. Hey, Traveler, what is your real name? That would make addressing you easier. I think it’s cool that you were educated in Brazil. Could you teach me Portuguese? In return, I could give you lessons in French or Spanish. Wow, it’s hard to accept that after Friday’s drama, I’ve always been all alone with my dog. I think I have another email from you to check out. Travel safe. Your Rob
