Hidden Rio

We did a tour to the Tijuca forest. It’s not a place that many people think about visiting when going to Rio. It’s a national park where you can go for walks, you can do a tour with a guide or you could go and do your own trail. You can see beautiful views from the seat.

Fizemos um passeio na floresta da Tijuca. Um local a onde muitas pessoas não pensam em visitar. Um parque Nacional aonde você pode fazer caminhadas, guiadas ou você pode fazer suas próprias trilhas. Lindas vistas da Cidade.

There is a suburb in Rio called Urca, there you can go to a bar called Bar Urca. You can have drinks there and seat on the street and enjoys view ot the Guanabara Bay. In this area lived the famous Brazilian Actress Carmen Miranda.

Tem um bairro no Rio chamado Urca, lá você pode ir no Bar Urca. Você pode beber e sentar na rua e ver as vias da Baía de Guanabara. Nessa Area viveu a famosa Carmen Miranda.

In Urca there is a Pizza Place called Garota da Urca. It always quite busy there, but if you get a good seat , you going to see amazing Views of the Guanabara bay.

Na Urca tem uma Pizzaria chamada Garota da Urca. Sempre cheia, mais se você pegar uma mesa legal vai ter vistas maravilhosas da Baía de Guanabara.

In the centre of Rio there is a famous Cafe called Confeitaria Colombo. Not many people think about going there. They do lovely cakes and food there. Very nice building, been there for nearly a hundred years.

No centro do Rio tem a famosa Confeitaria Colombo. Muitas pessoas nao conhecem. Bolos e pasteis maravilhosos. Um predio lindo, esta funcionando a quase cen anos.

A short walk from Confeitaria Colombo you will find The Cultural Centre of Banco do Brasil. Free entry and they have very good exhibitions. Não muito longe da Confeitaria Colombo tem o Centro Cultural do Banco do Brasil.

The Municipal theatre of Rio in just in this area too. See you if you can go and watch a play. O Teatro Municipal do Rio e nessa área também. Veja se consegue ver alguma apresentação.

Not far from the Centre there is an are called Lapa, which is very vibrant area with Bars and Restaurants at the evenings. You can see the Arches of Lapa, walk around in Santa teresa district, see the Selaron Steps.

Não muito longe do centro, tem uma área chamada Lapa. Um area cheias de bares. Você pode ver os arcos da Lapa, e em Santa Teresa, e ver a Escadaria Selarón.

If you have more time you can get the Ferry to Niteroi from Praca XV, every 20 minutes, and takes 20 minutes. Good views of Rio from there.

Se tiver mais tempo, pegue as barcas e vá Niterói saindo da praça XV. As barcas saem de a cada 20 minutos. Lindas vistas do Rio.

Niterói is pretty as well. Nice Modern Art Museum designed by Oscar Niemeyer.

I also did a bike tour for Copacabana all the way to Santos Dumont Airport. You can rent the bike and get them at lot of points around the city. Download the app Bike Rio and have fun.

There are lot more you could do in Rio. You could do side trips to other cities and islands. The estate of Rio de Janeiro is very big and full of surprises.

Tem muitas atividades que você pode fazer no Rio. Você pode fazer outras viagens para outras cidade e ilhas. O estado do Rio de Janeiro é muito grande e cheio de surpresas.
