Rio de Janeiro is a very famous city. It became a holiday destination for celebrities in the 1930s. Famous for a song called ‘Girl from Ipanema’, it is the birth place of Bossa Nova, Carnival, Samba, and is renowned for its natural beauty. It also has the largest urban forest in the world. Rio is known as the Marvelous City.

Rio de Janeiro uma cidade famosa desde quando as celebridades dos anos 1930 a visitavam. Famosa pela música da Garota de Ipanema, o berço da Bossa Nova, Carnival, Samba, e sua beleza natural. Tem a maior floresta tropical urbana do mundo. Rio a cidade Maravilhosa.

1.The first place you should visit in Rio is the Corcovado. You are going to have a great panoramic view of the city, and it is one of the city’s post-card views. Considered the largest Art Deco statue, and the 5th largest statue in the world. The statue is located on the peak of the 700 metres tall Mount Corcovado. You can catch a mini bus from Copacabana in front of Posto 2. It will take you all the way up the mountain.

1. Primeiro lugar que você deve visitar será o corcovado. Você tera uma vista panorâmica da cidade, e o cartão postal da cidade. Considerada a maior obra de arte deco do mundo, e a quinta maior estátua do mundo. A estátua e localizada no topo de um morro de 700 metros de altura. Você pode pegar vans que saem de Copacabana em frente ao posto 2. Vão te levar até o topo do morro.

2. The second place you should visit is the Sugar Loaf mountain, where you are going to see views of the Guanabara Bay,  and probably some little monkeys. You should try to visit in the late afternoon and see the sunset from there.

2. Segundo lugar e o Pao de Acucar, a onde você vai ver vista da baía de guanabara, e os macaquinhos. Você deve tentar ir no final da tarde e ver o pôr do sol.

3. Third place should be Ipanema. Where the song Girl from Ipanema was composed. You will have views of the Two Brothers Mountains. It is a long stretch of beach, and you can have a nice long walk and enjoy it, or perhaps sit at the beach.

3. Terceiro lugar e Ipanema. A onde a música garota de Ipanema foi feita. Você tera a vista do morro dois irmaos. Uma praia longa, e você pode fazer um passeio legal, ou sentar na praia.

4. Fourth place is Copacabana. Probably the most famous beach in Brazil. You can visit the Copacabana Fortress and go to the cafe which has a nice view of the beach.

4. Quarto lugar será a praia Copacabana. Praia formosa. Você pode visitar a forte de Copacabana e ir ao Café, tera uma bela vista da praia.

5. Fifth place is the Botanic Gardens, rich in tropical plants, and imperial palm trees. A place that should be visited. I really enjoyed this place.

5. Quinto lugar e o Jardim Botânico. Rico em plantas tropicais, palmeiras imperiais. Um lugar que deve ser visitado. Eu gostei muito desse lugar.

6. Sixth place is the Arpoador Rock. It is the place where all the locals (Cariocas) meet to watch the sunset.

6. Sesto lugar Pedra do Arpoador. Um lugar onde todos os Cariocas se encontram para apreciar o pôr do sol.
