Ghent / Belgium

I wanted to talk about Ghent as I wrote a blog about Bruges. Ghent is a lot closer to Brussels and on the same train line as Bruges. It is a little town with a special charm. It has fabulous canals and stunning architecture. It is quite a small city, quite cosy, but very vibrant with its quirky bars and restaurants, and famous Belgian museums. It’s a city that you won’t want to miss.

My first impression of Ghent was that it is was a very big medieval city, where people enjoyed themselves sitting around the streets near the canals.
